Google Optimize is dead. Your headlines still need to change.
Optimize ran experiments for weeks to crown one winning headline — on average, for everyone. Prept skips the experiment: it reads privacy-safe visitor context and rewrites your headline for each person, after the page loads. One snippet. About five minutes.
The migration
- Remove the Optimize snippet. You already did — Google did it for you.
- Paste the Prept snippet before
</body>. - Tag the elements you want rewritten:
data-prept="headline",data-prept="subcopy",data-prept="cta".
That’s the migration. There is no import step because there is nothing to import — no experiments, no variants to port. Your page just starts adapting.
What you gain, what you lose
Gain — every visitor sees copy written for them from the first visit. No waiting weeks for significance. Returning visitors get recognized and greeted differently.
Lose — classical A/B testing. Prept does not run experiments or declare winners; it personalizes. If you need statistical proof that variant B beats variant A, keep an A/B tool alongside.
Pricing, plainly
Google Optimize was free. Prept is not. You pay per rewrite: 1 credit for a new visitor, 0.25 for a returning one. 10,000 credits cost $29. Most pages spend less than a dollar a day.
